NATIONAL NIGHT OUT----AUGUST 7, 2007
BERWICK HOUSING AUTHORITY & BERWICK POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO JOIN CITIES NATION WIDE FOR
“AMERICAS NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME”

On Tuesday, August 7th, neighborhoods throughout  Berwick joined forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 24th Annual “National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event.  National Night Out, sponsored locally by the Berwick Housing Authority Resident Council and the Berwick Police Department, united berwick with over 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world.  In all, over 34 million people were reported to have participated in “America’s Night Out Against Crime” on August 7th.  NNO 2007 was supported in part by the Target Corporation and the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance and many local sponsors.
